ALPHABET

Why do we teach the alphabet?
Because people need to know the spelling the alphabet in English.
The Alphabet is taught in order to enable students to spell words whereas the phonetic symbols teach students how to pronounce words.

When we learn a language, there are four skills that we need for complete communication. When we learn our native language, we usually learn to listen first, then to speak, then to read, and finally to write. These are called the four language skills.

LISTENING-Listening is the 1st of the four language skills

SPEAKING-Speaking is the 2nd of the four language skills

READING-Reading is the 3rd of the four language skills

WRITING-Writing is the 4th of the four language skills
